Thank you so much for sharing this incredible chord trick. It’s amazing how simple movements can transform lead and rhythm lines. I’m truly grateful for the clear explanation and examples. This will definitely help me visualize the fretboard better and improve my playing. God bless you for this fantastic lesson.
Such a good lesson. Appreciate how clearly you explained it and it wasn’t rushed or at a faster tempo. This is some elements I am working into my practice currently.
Yes, absolutely Neil! For an open G chord you would use the open D and G strings and slide up to the fourth fret of the G string (B note). it’s basically the same pattern. Thanks a lot for checking out the video.🙏
Thanks again for a great video, Rusty. I must confess that I get a bit sidetracked looking at that gorgeous Deusenberg. Might have to watch the video again. 😂. Great tone too. Are you using your Strymon Big Sky? - regards Rod
I’m using the cloud setting on the Strymon big sky. Here is a rig, rundown video if you wanna see some more details about the sound. ruclips.net/video/y5ThbyNTpV0/видео.htmlsi=tp4cgUOGkp9NInsh. Thanks for checking out my videos.👍🙏
You have a lot of interesting ideas towards guitar in a worship setting but how do we get away from being stuck in the so called box of sounding like the guy from U2 and poppy worship of Hillsong and the like? I’d like to take your ideas but have more of that classic rock tone like Page or Moore instead of all the over processed effects.
Hey Steve, on this channel, I try to keep it worship guitar related. But on my other channel, I let loose a little more in the blues rock style. ruclips.net/video/hMCW4t39UaA/видео.htmlsi=R6Y74RaFeC1pe0S1 Here is a recent quick tip video. Catch you later.✌️
thanks for the quick reply. I what I was asking is about using those couple of eexample players tone or sound in a worship service more so than what I hear from the mainstream popular worship teams. I’m not referring to shredding guitar solos but more of a blues based style like Glenn Kaiser or Darrell Mansfield.
